You’re likely to need more than one treatment, but the results are effective and permanent.
No. For IPL to work, the device needs to be able to distinguish between the colour of your skin tone and the colour of your hair; it’s therefore not recommended for use on black skin, nor for those with red or light blonde hair. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you have a known medical condition, check with your doctor if it’s safe for you to try IPL hair removal.
It depends on your individual pain threshold; any discomfort you feel is likely to be short-lived because IPL devices tend to work quickly, giving you little time to register pain. Results are permanent, but you’ll need more than one session to stop all hair regrowth in the treated area.

It’s advised not to use any topical creams or deodorants on the day of your session.
