We all know Tamera Mowryfrom her"Sister, Sister"and "The Real" fame, but what do we know about her husband, Adam Housley?According to Yahoo News, Mowry and Housley started dating in college, but Housley didn't know who his future wife was, despite her success on TV.

Both attended Pepperdine University, where, interestingly enough, an economics professor named Robert Sexton introduced them. Housley sent Mowry an email, and despite the fact that she wasn't interested in dating anyone at the time, she was persuaded. Mowry told Yahoo News, "I always say, 'He got me with his words.'"

Mowry and Housley's first date took place in 2005, and six years later, they tied the knot. Together, the couple now has two children: Ariah and Aden. After spending his after-college years as a major league baseball player, Housley became a news reporter. In 2001, he joined Fox News. But it's his departure from the network that still has people talking.

According to Hollywood Life, Adam Housley left Fox News in August 2018 after controversy over coverage of then-President Donald Trump. Politicoreported thathe expressed "frustrations with the direction and tone of the network." The outlet wrote that Housley felt as if Fox's attention on Trump had overtaken other potential news opportunities.A former Fox employee claimed to Politico of Housley, "He's not doing the type of journalism he wants to be doing. And he is unhappy with the tone of the conversation of the channel." Housley wasn't the only one to leave for reasons relating to Trump coverage. Conor Powell also left for what the outlet described as a similar vein.

In 2019, wife Tamera Mowry backed up her husband's apparent sentiments, telling her co-hosts on "The Real" that anchor Laura Ingraham's sarcastic comments in the wake of Nipsey Hussle's death in March of that year also played a part. "This is the reason why my husband left the news. The issue with a lot of these opinionated shows is I feel like they're more focused on riling people up with their state of opinion instead of reporting the news," Mowry said.

In a formal statement, Housley told Politico that he was leaving to focus on raising the family's two young children. He said, "I could not be more proud of the journalism I did at the network, from war zones, to tsunamis, to watching miners pulled from the ground in Chile, I am grateful for the extraordinary opportunities to have a front seat to history and cover news all over the world."

According to Hollywood Life, Adam Housley was a Junior Olympic All-American baseball player. He was drafted by theMontreal Expos and played for the Milwaukee Brewers and Detroit Tigers.Prior to working at Fox News, Housley was a TV reporter for KCPM-TV in Chico,California. He also reported for KTXL-TV in Sacramento, California, but these aren't his only on-air experiences.

Housley competed with his wife, Tamera Mowry, on "Cupcake Wars" in 2016 — the couple won with their cornbread, chocolate cabernet, and vanilla port cupcakes, per Hollywood Life. They donated the money they won from the competition toSnowballExpress.org, which helps children of fallen military members and their surviving parents.

Since leaving Fox News, Housley has dedicated his time to his family's winery in the Napa Valley. In 2019, the San Francisco Chronicle described the winery as the "place to be"on a Saturday night. Housley, who also hails from Napa, and was raised in the wine industry. In April 2020, he told Napa Valley Life Magazine, "Our family has deep roots in Napa, and we're the first winery to admit that Napa and Lodi are married."

When they aren't busy with Adam Housley's family's winery, he and Tamera Mowry are relaxing in their beautiful Napa Valley home. According toCloser Weekly,the couplestarted touching up that home in 2011.

Speaking to "Today" in 2019 (via Closer Weekly), Mowry shared of her husband, "He is a collector, he absolutely loves things. I'm the opposite. But I knew that I wanted to make our home work for the both of us." And work for both of them it does — the house even has a "man cave" where Housley keeps his sports memorabilia. In her interview with Closer Weekly, Mowry joked about how she attempted to remodel the man cave while Housley was away one time. "I wanted to change the paint [on the walls] after he put everything up and I asked him if I could do it," she said. "He was like, 'No, Tamera, no,' and I said, 'But babe, it doesn't match the rest of the house!' So, he went away. I had somebody take pictures of how everything was placed. I painted over it — and he had no idea!"

Mowry's favorite place in the home is the kitchen. In 2021, she toldGood Housekeeping, "It is one of my favorite places in the house because it's very warm, inviting, and I feel like it's the heartbeat of our home because a lot happens here." She added, "We are a family that absolutely loves to cook."

Since leaving Fox News, Adam Housley has kept himself busy. Whether it's spending time with his two children or relaxing in his man cave, the former news correspondent always makes time for his wife of nearly 17 years — despite the fact that things may not be "perfect." In an interview with Fox Television Stationsin October 2021, Mowry shared, "I never want to give the perception that our marriage is perfect. I don't believe any marriage is perfect. But, I can say I'm happily married, and it's because of communication, honesty." She added, "In your 10th year of marriage you may have different needs than you did in your first, second or third, and it's important to communicate that need. Adjust and learn and support and be there for your partner in those changes." All of this helps the longtime lovebirds "keep the romance alive."

Like any public couple, they are not immune to outside criticism, either. In 2020, Mowry revealed to Momtastic that "the criticism" of her interracial marriage "is even worse now."However, Housley told her, "'You know what, Tamera? This is just teaching you to focus on the thousands of people that are for you, as opposed to the very few people who are against you.'"

Mowry and Housley have undoubtedly supported one another throughout their time together, and it seems they're going to be doing so for many more years to come.
